While blog hunting, I came across Merveilles en Papier and was instantly enchanted.
The blog showcases French artist Laetitia Mieral’s paper crafts. But these crafts are like few I’ve ever seen.
Like a magician, Laetitia creates works of pure magic. It is as if she is weaving a spell of paper dreams and making them come alive. All I know is that I am definately under her spell!

1. What made you decide to start a blog?
Other blogs and I wanted something easy to start on internet, showing my work, it’s the tool i needed
2. How would you describe your blog in 10 words or less?
it’s mainly a journal of my artwork in paper and my dreams,
3. How did you come up with the name for your blog?
I wanted something including the word paper
4. What’s your favorite thing about running your blog?
sharing what I’m doing on a daily basis and I like the interactive thing that allows the comments And thanks to my blog I’ve met so many interesting people in the “real world “,it’s so much more funny than a website
5. What advice would you give to people out there who want to start their own blog?
To be patient it’s a bit like a flower it requires cares and patience, and the interesting thing that some people sometimes forget is not to be too concentrate in your own world (as in real life actually) keeping on discovering other people other artists , and little by little a real community will be created around the same interests, the same dreams, but in a different way than any other social networks ,because a blog only exist thanks to a solid content ,and thanks to readers . And people are less in hurry than in any other networks and they can spend time reading and discovering things, you share with them
6. List one of each of the following categories that you would recommend as a source of inspiration:
it’s very hard to reply for each category , there are so many films, books and artists I would like to mention
Book: Andersen’s tales( I always reply andersen, it’s not very original but at the same time , I always keep a book of Andersen close to my desk, though I don’t watch it very often , I like to know he is there with me when I’m “working”)
Movie: Legend,(I could mention hundred of films but legend is still my favourite fantasy film )
Blog: Ullabenulla
Artist: Olga and Andrej Dugin( they have published very few books but they are really incredible illustrators with an amazing imagination)
Music: Jordi Savall (any of his disc is a dream to me)
7. Where’s your favorite place to daydream?
it can be anywhere, but probably trains are my favorite places to daydream
8. What stores do you like to shop at?
To tell the truth I’m not very fond of shopping in real stores I love ionline stores because you can find everything and because it’s more magic : you have to wait a bit and one morning surprise !, it’s in your mail box ! but you can never be sure of the day it will be there almost like a gift …
9. If you could have an item from any story, what item would you want to have?
mmm it’s hard to choose, I think I choose the book of the Neverending Story
10. And lastly, it wouldn’t be Wonderland without a tea party… so what type of tea would you like?
a Christmas tea, please, as it’s almost the season !Thank you
